I have downloaded the lastest Demo ( Enigma-1.9.10 107MB )
this demo does NOT include the speech engine , so I downloaded (Enigma SAPI 40.5mb ) this installed correctly as I am now asked to speak into the microphone, but it now times out instead of ini fail. I have read all the postings here I am still unsure.
Does this demo work with speech engine.
P.S. I have done all the microphone tests so I presume its all configured correctly

The latest demo is 2.02
Yes the engine works with the 1.9 demo aswell as all the other demos.
Did you try change the audio input device ?
control panel->speech->audio input

It was all my fault as usual.
Installed speech engine into enigma folder.... Doh!
I thought it was only relative to the game, did not realise it was microsoft.
Just installed it normally and it worked first time.
I have been messing about with computers for years and I still know nowt
