Somethings Going On With My Cd Code...

First, I'd like to say sorry if this has already been asked and solved, but I have to get off my computer soon and get some sleep, so I can't go searching through the forum.

Okay, I bought the Gold Edition from my local EB, but didn't come with any CD key. However, about 3/4 times I try to start up the game, it asks for one. I've already tried the CD key posted at warfleet.net, but that didn't work. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Mind you, if I can't get it working, I'll still suffer through the 3/4 error ratio, since its such an awesome game.

Well first of all it shouldnt be asking for any CD-Key so thats weird, but some people has brought it up before, Im not sure anyone ever got a working solution, cause no one ever reported back with the results, so here is what you could try:

Uninstall Enigma

Run the STF Tools (see the pinned downloads in the general enigma forum for link)

Reboot

Turn off your Antivirus and WindowsXP's registry protection

Insert your ERT CD and Install

Reboot

Turn on Registry protection again (if you want to) (your AV Tools should auto start)

Play game.

->If it doesnt work try turn off the AV Tool and try again

In any case come back with the results

Umm, I checked the downloads, and I don't see anything about "STF tools". Sorry about being such a swabbie, but could you tell me what a STF is and where I can find it? Much thanks.

Oh, and where can I find the Windows Regestry protectin? I've never heard of it until now.

I have the same Gold Edition...this happens to me sometimes too. sometimes, it also tells me I need a valid CD after a few minutes of waiting. My solution has been to cancel out and satrt the process over again by hitting "play" on the splash screen again. eventually, it just works. Weird, anoyying, and double weird. but it works.

Well, unfortunatly, I did everything you said, than tried it again, but it still doesn't work. Thanks anyways though.
