East,
Question... with all other multiplayer games I have been involved in, VOIP was possible via a third party program such as Roger Wilco, Team Speak, and Ventrillo.
I was chatting with my clan mates the other evening using Ventrillo and tried to load and play this game. The voice commands, in game, did not work. Obviously, almost all of us have no idea what you have instore. I simply call your attention to this issue, if you have not already addressed it.

Yes, but that's different to voice control not working with a voice over ip application also running - is that the issue?

That is the issue.
Personally, I am fine with not using voice commands if I am online with clan mates and using VOIP. I have noticed though that with the patch there appears no other way of setting the depth on depth charges. If there are keystroke commands for all possible commands, my problem is eliminated. I will simply use the keyboard, as a thought and possible solution.

This issue brings up another issue that should also be addresssed rather soon. As an example to which I am referring:
If a clan were playing in multiplayer, and were a surface task force, once one member of the clan was sunk, he could, as he was sinking, report the location and depth of enemy subs. I am sure there are other applications for this sort of thing (in other games it is called Ghosting) but it is the only example I can come up with at this time. I would encourage the Devs to take precautions against this type of exploit.
Finally, depending on how the game will be played via MMO, there may or may not be this concern.... Third party "enhancement" programs also called cheats or hacks.
Many games currently are running Punkbuster. Others allow game play only on controlled servers which tends to limit the ability of these applications. I am sure there are other options available, I simply throw this out as another thought in bringing the best possible environment to the table.

Wrong. On the right side of your surface ship's control panel, there are A, B or possibly A,B, C buttons. Click on the last one and that should bring up your detailed DC controls. There's a depth dial there that you can click within to adjust the depth settings.

I believe MP will have the ability to use voice comms with other members. There was even talk of building it into the game.
