Enigma really needs some rockets on ships to take the place of the hogs

Uuhm... rockets wouldn't be as effective as your standard deck guns, not to mention bloody difficult to sight in and hit a target. I've never heard of them being used as a ship to ship weapon, although they were used to support beach assaults from time to time.

Okay... rockets... More cumbersome than a deck gun, longer reload, shorter range, lower impact velocity and probably less armor penetration.
Unless the Red Russians put Katiyusha batteries on their warships (which would be nifty, since IIRC they did, I think that's a rather inapplicable idea.
I mean, a high-powered rifled shell with an explosive warhead is just so much better than a ballistic-launch rocket with an explosive warhead.

It was somewhere that I read about a 380mm rocket launcher mounted on a german tank chassis originally intended for use on warships in the german navy not to mention several U.S. support craft fitted with 4.5 inch rockets

Nah... you'd have to mount V-2s on ships to beat the firepower of 15"s.
And still, you'd have no effective way to aim at your target.
Let's stick to guns 'n' torps. Unless you make up something useful, like rocket propelled depthcharges..

This has been mentioned somewhere else. I believe East said they were going to include Rockets in Enigma eventually. Though its not a priority.
I'm guessing in real life their main usage was for Fire support of land forces. No need for Line of site. But I'm no historian.
