Deck Gun Targeting

I really am enjoying the post-patch "torpedo incoming bearing" messages, and it got me thinking. I'm curious if a confirmation message text could be displayed when a target for the deck cannons is designated by the player.
I know having the gun batteries track and fire is a fairly obvious thing, but a little line of text displaying something like "five inch batteries, targeting DD, bearing 345, 678 meters" would be a nice additional bit of feedback for the next patch.
