Helming Torpedoboats

Just a thought. The Elco and Lightning and Schnell are all damnably hard to steer using rudder-and-mouse or even clicking the compass.

Could it be possible to rig the rudder controls to the left and right arrow keys, in much the same way the guns are controlled?

Try using the "S", "D" and "F" keys. D centers the rudder.

T.G and B handle throttles (G = All Stop. Gx2= Engine Off/On)

W and R handle pivot requests.

Z and X are binoc/periscope and targeting binoc/periscope

there are MANY more keys bound...

Thanks. I feel rather stupid for this post, now that my memory has been jogged.

Initially I tried to WASD the big ships, but then got into the habit of properly combining waypoints and fire control and forgot about everything but the pivot turn keys.

On my version . Cut engines ( On /Off) is Y , I think,, But voice is easier .

Certainly needed S D F keys , PLUS voice on a terpedo boat !
