How to make sure that surface ships always in contact with the sub it was chasing??

leed you didn't say which mission .
I presume it is LFN surface mission 1 ?
I think this is when you are one of 2 CVs protecting an Oiler .
Very often the message says " difficulty keeping contact with this sub " .
Is that the mission ?
