Hey Fellas
I was asked to have a look at the responses of the planes in Rise of Flight, as some people have been having trouble with settings for the planes. I think I may have an answer but I will have to test it several times to make sure it is right.
It might mean modifying your input.map file but I will put full instructions up here when I have finished.
I agree with Requeims post about bringing the Y axis down to between 10% and 12%.
I will keep you posted.
Happy New Year!!!

Many thanks for logining into our forums. We are very keen to help pilots get the best out of their aircraft and thus the most enjoyment out of the game. looking forward to seeing your findings and having a go at ajusting the setting myself.

These settings are what I use for the Camel. You have to remember that each joystick calibration might be different, So you may have to tinker about with them.
You can actually curve it if you need to, on the pitch responses, which means adding more dots and curving the line a bit.
This is just a basic test to see if people like it. The only only problem that I have is that sometimes the profile does not save, which does my head in!
You need to save as a new profile and call it 'Camel'.
Remember that the Camel is still twitchy to fly and please make make sure that you set the yaw to 5% symmetric.
If anyone has problems just leave a post here, likewise if it works post here too.

I would suggest making the curves look a little more 'round'. It helps to smooth out your responses. You can also put more emphasis in the middle and more gradually expand it near the ends. I had a long love/hate relationship with curves, and I've finally fallen back into bed with them, and boy... setting a trim really helps with bouncyness when you are trying to aim/manuver. The best way to get your curve set is to go into singleplayer and adjust the curve until your plane flies straight and level. I don't think he camel is at 1 block... It should be slightly off one of the lines. Anyhow... keep dabbling around until you find the 'sweet spot' The plane will fly level when you leave the stick at neutral, and it won't bounce around as viciously when you try to aim at something dead ahead.
