Tides of War

I was struggling to understand this, but then it dawned on me as I played and replayed mission usn 10a and b over and over and dieing from the BBs without ever seeing them: in a BB you'd kill your opponents so far out you'd miss all the really cool effects of close combat.

After all, nothing is more fun then tussling it up close and dirty in the DDs.

Hmm, I start to see the logic of East's statement.

Well, since the Hood(s) can take a lot of damage, you can try to close in on a destroyer (He might be trying to do the same to make a torpedo run) and you can spank him with a 15" broadside to see the effects.

Heck, just seeing the fire leap out of the Hood's 15" guns when near it amazed me. And gorgeous sound effects.

So the best way to get a close look at the Hood is to play as League? I've been spending time in the usn 10a trying to close on the BB (Prince Edward?) to get a nice up n close, and of course getting chewed to ribbons in the process, but ah what fun.
