Just got mine today - played for 3 hours on missions then tried a campaign. Signed up to the USA and I think I got lumbered with a deaf sonarman. I chase after the oiler and then discover 2 corvettes right on top of me depth charging the hell out of me.
so respect to you with your Iron Cross - I may just switch sides. At least the US torpedoes did not go full circle on me as they did in real life at that time.

The accoustic torpedoes are coming mate...didn't arrive till later.
If you are having trouble with 'hearing' the enemy I'll wager you are travelling at flank yes?  Try slowing to 1/3 to get a nice clear picture without surfacing or using the 'scope.

I have 1 medal of somekind now... I havent had time to play much, actually just 1 time, but that one time, I won 4 missions in a row
So be prepared for battle (well battle isnt the right word, what Im looking is ummmm, Prepare to be sunk)

Read the manual in bed last night. Note to self - read manual first next time. I'm sure I got away with flank manouvres in the demo though.
