Hello Black Sheep,

Practice started early for 2 of the Black Sheep. It was un-announced and was something that just happed and bares mentioning.

At about 12:00 PM EST I opened up a Target Plane room to get in and warm up my gun sights with the BF-109K4. Talon showed up about the time I had started. I explained to Talon that what I wanted to do was to get up over the Target plane, dive down, take a shot and keep going, then he was to follow me, and finish the kill with out turning. We were getting up to 10K and 12K waiting for the target plane. Here is how our conversation went. Everyone please take notice, because this is the way we should be using our Team Speak.

Joker: Radar Contact R21 Heading Southeast.

Talon: Roger.

JoKeR: Visual, Target, Approximately 7K, IN.

Talon: Roger, Talon has High Cover.

Joker: Target Hit, Joker Off.

Talon: Talon In, Target Destroyed.

We did this over and over again. It became really kind of natural. We also alternated turns on who attacked first. This made for a really good practice.

Speed ahead to 2:30 PM.

Team Practice Started, Some people couldn't find the room so we had to open up a second room. This is becoming a problem with the rooms disappearing after a short while of being opened no matter what time length is applied. Hopefully this is one of the things that the powers that be are working on with the CLP.

Attending Team practice was Top_Gun. Deadlock, Sheep, Zarn and myself. I had the guys do the same thing that Talon and I were doing earlier except that we did not have a target plane, so we used a static target, The mountain out behind the SU base. This worked pretty good except that we didn't have everyone on TS and we had a little confusion. THIS IS WHY EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE TS WORKING. I would lead the flight wing to the mountain, dive and make a shot pull off, with the next plane in line doing the same thing in succession. This was also working real well, with the exception of TS. Then what I did was go to the SU team and became a target plane for the others. I had Zarn and Sheep wing up and Deadlock and Top_Gun did the same. Each Wing team made an attack on me. And while it was a little slow because I was having to do a lot of taking off, it was fun and I believe to be some really good training. Coldfire Joined us. and I had Zarn I think join me as a target and we practiced this same thing until game time.

This I thought was and outstanding practice with the exception of the use of TS. Some were doing ok but others weren't talking at all. This a problem that MUST get fixed very soon.

TS_Hawk came on to our TS about 3:45 PM EST and said that he was getting ready for the match and that TS_Honolulu would put up the first room. This worked well and we joined the room at 3:55 PM. TS_hawk had said that his team was also experiencing the disappearing room syndrome. Attending the game was, Tbar, Top Gun, Sheep, Zarn and Myself. We lost Deadlock somewhere along the way, and I think that Coldfire couldn't see the room. (I didn't know he wasn't with us either.) The Black Sheep started with something new today to try out. We split the team up between SU and GB. I wanted 3 on GB, Tbar, Zarn and Coldfire, and the rest of us would fly SU. The SU group was to attack GE from the start to allow the GB planes to get some alt. TS would have none of that because they saw our move and split up sending 2 GE plane right towards GB 1 plane went South of the GE base and 4 went up and out over the US base which is the group my wing attacked. Yes you guessed it, We flew out numbered 5 vs 7. I had assumed that Coldfire was on the GB team. This was bad communication on my part. Deadlock finally joined in making 6 vs 7 it but it wasn't much help as we were falling from the skies left and right. Terror Squad is one of the best squads flying, this is the reason that I wanted to fly against them. One, because I wanted to see how they would react to our split team situation and two, to increase our competition level. All in all GB couldn't get much altitude and the rest of us were running for our lives. To add insult to injury I don't thin I even got a kill in the first half. Tbar ended up as our Ace in the first half.

Second Half: We switched teams, but we lost Top_Gun, but I think Talon joined us. So we still had six to fly with in the second half.

We started on the GE base with most of us in the K4 but some who will remain nameless, but you know who you are still didn't have the rank so they got the older planes. Right Deadlock and Sheep??? (Get with me sometime so I can put a target plane up for you.)

We did a lot better in the GE plane but it was nowhere close to flying with the top notch skills of TS.

There was a little turn fighting going on but we did a lot better than we had done in the past. I actually had 6 kills which was second best to Tbar as he was the top ACE to us in the second half to. GOOD JOB Tbar. our ACE of the Game.

Here is the game scores:

1st. Half

BSS: 2GB 4SU KILLS 8**DEATHS 66**TK's 2** Crashes 2** Ratio 0** 1st Kill 0 = 0 score

TS: 7GE ***** KILLS 66*DEATHS ****TK's 1**Crashes 0** Ratio 61 * 1st Kill 5 = 66 score

2nd Half

BSS: 6 GE ****KILLS 25**DEATHS 65**TK'S 0***CRASHES 1 *** RATIO 1 *** 1ST KILL 0 = 1 SCORE

TS 2 GB 4 SU**KILLS 63**DEATHS 63**TK"S 0***CRASHES 0 *** RATIO 51 ** 1ST KILL 5 = 56 SCORE

It was a good match and a lot of fun. If we would of had some of our more experienced pilots show up then it migh have been a little closer. Still it was a good experience for all who showed up.

We still need more people coming to practice on our scheduled practice days and nights. You can see our practice schedule listed under the "FLIGHT SCHEDULE" link on our web site's main page.

Thanks to all who showed up to fly. I apologize to all of those who couldn't find the rooms to get in. Hopefully the staff who works on this issue will get it fixed.

Have a great day Black Sheep

TopGun
actually TS was hitting us pretty hard, but they were also letting us get up and off the deck, but that was about it. They could of pinned us at anytime in the first half. Second half we did even better, which was really a surprise to me. IF we keep things going we will only improve, but we have to have the participation of the whole squad.
