VMF-214 Black Sheep Squadron

There is indeed something very special about using a VMF214 tag. Please do not use these 'tags' in AA nor assign yourself a tag. All tags or 'call signs' will be assigned by the XO or CO appropriately.
We have to give some thought to this and all members who wear this tag MUST KNOW the rules that go with it .. the privlage of using that call sign and the responsibility that goes with it as well as understanding the 'honor'.........
An honor code must be adheard to at all times when using an historic call sign from an honored squadron of a military fighting force. Regardless of country, due and proper respect for the men and weman that served and to those that gave their lives... must be observed at all times.

A CO and XO meeting, along with all the wing leaders will be held to discuss this topic. Squad members who would like to attend may do so without voice. Listen Only Mode.
Please visit the BSS website and look over the 'historical' portion of the site. If there is any member that would like the honor of being the "historical facts" officer .. please contact our XO or CO for further information. An "historical facts" Officer would of course research on the internet and find a full libray about VMF 214 (The Black Sheep Squadron) and incorporate that knowledge etc into the BSS webstie. Our website is not all about we few who play.. its about what this squadron represents .. why we are the 'Black Sheep' .. and why we chose that squadron.

oops I think we need to contact TANK because I had already made a VMF214-Magee tag a few, possibly a week, ago. If we are going to get assigned names then that one needs to be deleted unless it will be assigned to me anyway. By the way I have not used it yet as I was waiting for the 'go-ahead'. These men have fought and some even gave their lives to protect our country. We must understand the sacrifices they made in their time in the service. About the meeting, when is it taking place? I think it would be a good idea to have it during a usual squad practice, which i think is on saturdays at 1:30, because if we do it after a match, sure there will be more people but during the match everyone will have their minds on the meeting coming after rather than the competition at hand (2squad matches)
