The squad mailer has some 'snafu' in it that is only sending out some .. of the email and not all of it. I originally tried to send the email quaoted below out to you Sun Eve .. didn't work .. so Mon and Tue I've been sending it out in parts .. which sometimes worked and sometimes did not. I'm feed up with debugging this info at this time .. and I needed to get this out in a timely manner so I simply posted it here.

The problem with posting.. is folks don't check the forums each day .. but they do check their email.

I'll work this problem out later ..

Meanwhile .. he is what I've been TRYING to send to all !! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!

======================================

ATTN BLACK SHEEP!!

Please read .. and yes there is more on the forums about all this in separate topics.

WE .. are ONE team .. WE are all equal on the ground .. but greatly different in the skies. Everyone voice and opinions count. Not all pilots are Ace's. WE don't operate under military protocols on the ground, forums, email etc .. but once a match starts .. it is very strict .. you take orders, follow and obey. No need for salutes and clicking heels.. but to respect the CO and XO instructions during matches .. it is imperative. We need to 'fight as a team' and not as individuals .. we will learn that part with experience.

The practices we have had .. were all designed to prepare you for the real battle .. yet we forget what we practiced during each match .. why? Because we only practice these things during practice! You must practice these disciplines all the time .. then it will come more natural. FFA is for individuals. Teams .. is for team players. Please fly teams as much as possible and practice what you know needs to be done.

BEFORE each match will be a signup sheet .. in that post is a battle plan as well as a pilot roster. We give the orders before we even go into battle .. but be warned .. war is a dynamic thing .. ever changing and battle plans are only that .. plans.

BEFORE each match .. 30 minutes prior .. we do a 'pre-flight' check. Each pilot is expected to do this pre-flight check independently. You must check your team speak both out of game and in game BEFORE that match starts. You must check your stick, controls etc .. BEFORE the match starts. You must know your assignments etc .. BEFORE that match starts.

PRE-FLIGHT is not difficult. You can always find the 'battle plan' in the Sortie area of the forums listed by:

date, League-Name, week number.

AFTER each Battle/match we have a Post Flight De-Brief. Right after a match is the best time to discuss what worked .. what did not .. where we did well .. and where we did poorly. From this we know what we need to practice more. You don't always need a formal practice .. to practice :)

AFTER each match .. we have the Team Speak short De-Brief .. then from that point we resort to posting on the forums. Post your thoughts about the match we just completed in the thread for the signup!! In this manner we keep all the related topic in one post. Each squad we fight is different .. so what worked last week against one squad may not work the next week, and so forth.

WE simply cannot use Sundays for our total squad practice day until 2 squad is over. Its too much in one day for most pilots. We have to resort to mid-week , Joker will follow up on this. Euro team .. Mr. Zarn .. keep to your current practice schedule and do the best you can. AS a USA and over all practice time I suggest the LTS event on Wed Eve's .. because you can fly as a 'team' in that event. Rarely does BSS have to fly anything butt RED TEAM. This might work well .. again.. Joker will make the call on our practice time and follow up. WE can also use Fri Eve .. but I know a lot of guys like to go out on FRI Eve ..

What Planes do we fly?

Until you hear otherwise .. master the Spit, 109 and the LA7 . .its a must.. all pilots must be able to fly these planes about equal .. Spits and 109's mandatory. I don't want to see new pilots flying a US plane at all!! Not until you can fly the spit and the 109 without problems!

Gun Ranges:

Planes of rank

GB 2150

GE 1800 (2200 for head to head)

LA7 2250 (I think)

Rate of climb and getting to altitude most efficiently.

You all suck at this .. so pay attention. Its a race to get to 10k first .. and I always win. Why .. cuz you guys climb to hard to soon. What you want to do is get the air speed going up at all times .. so long as air speed is going up .. you can increase little by little the climb rate to 10k. If the speed is NOT increasing a little bit .. the climb rate is too hard. The faster your airspeed ... the more the climb rate will be.. without touching the stick! Until you really have a firm grip on getting to 10k quickly .. follow my advise.

ALL, AND EVERYTHING HAS BEEN COVERED IN PRACTICE SESSIONS OVER THE LAST TWO WEEKS .. ALL THOSE SILLY LITTLE GAMES I've HAD YOU PLAY WERE FOR REASONS :)

1) Use F7 on take off so you can 'see' the runway and the other planes taking off .. less collisions on take off. Less or no collisions means we are all together and not split.

2) Use the proper rate of climb for the aircraft you are flying .. use my 'guideline's

3) Stay 2500- 3000 feet from your wing or closest partner when hunting of defending. In a fur ball .. there is just no rule. You can't really help anyone if your right next to them .. you can't see what they are doing .. and they can't see you if your too close.

4) use the damn radio!! :) chatter .. but not gibberish or nonsense .. keep things to business.

5) dont just checl 'closet lock'.. check f4-E and then "." (period) for next closest lock. You must know the second plans position and what you will do NExT .. this changes every 5-10 seconds! check the map .. know the situation .. know your situation .. and the m8's that is closet to you.

You guys are all just now starting to 'understand' and starting to 'fly like a team' .. just keep practicing at it .. all the time. I wish I was a better CO .. and a better trainer .. but I'm all you got .. so your stuck with me :)

Keep in mind .. during practice and matches I can be a real hard ass .. and very critical .. but I have a deep respect for all of you .. and you are all .. to me .. "my black sheep" .. my kids .. my family. I can yell at you .. but nobody else better!! :) Also keep in mind .. I"m new at my job also .. and certainly not without faults of my own :) I'm sure not the best pilot on the roster .. but like you .. I get better every week ;)

Salute!!
