A funny thing happened in FFA.

On July 29, 2007 at about 2AM Wash DC Time I was flying and buzzing around FFA doing the normal killing and dieing. Rho-Dog, DeathShed, Deadeyez, and Tbar were among the handful of pilots present.

Lets set the stage .. it was a normal FFA with the exception that the pilots were NOT insulting each other and there was no 'dirty tricks' being employed by any of the current pilots. All were having an abnormally good time .. for FAA :) I would venture to say it was an exceptionally nice FFA, not even spawn killing was occurring!

Along comes a spider ..

Along comes a pilot by the pilot name of "HABAHA".

All of a sudden out of no where .. "you have been downed by HABAHA". WoW I think, where did he come from. I think no more of it and resume my play. After about five minutes of play I hear a player say nicely: " HABAHA don't runway". Shortly there after I'm hearing (seeing n text of course) more and more pilots complaining about the play style of HABAHA

From observation and engagement I can say without doubt that HABAHA is a really good pilot. The player complaints continue. I have taken an opportunity to land and repair .. and while landed I get staffed by HABAHA and killed. I keep hearing the other pilots complaining but I'm busy with my fights.. and again I land for repair when I am purposely rammed on the ground by HABAHA. I say nothing as it would only encourage him more.

Community Justice.

After HABAHA continues pulling every dirty trick in the book as well as 'ramming', 'runwaying', 'escaping' under pursuit as well as 'escaping' for spawn advantage .. and spawn killing I decided to make a suggestion to the room. I make an announcement to the room: "Hey guys, lets all turn on this HABAHA and give him some "community justice" (oh man if only a sys-ops had been present). The room EXPLODES with approval, you can imagine the comments and glee.

Lets just say life was not that easy on HABAHA once "Community Justice" was applied.. but even then he was not doing too badly all things considered (this guy is a talented pilot). One of the pilots announced .. "This is more fun in FAA than I've had in a long time!", referring to the 'Community Justice' and finally a way for pilots to strike back at players like HABAHA. As new pilots came in we informed them about "community justice" and they were eager to join in.

What is Fair?

Now .. with the above all said .. let us be fair and mention that ganging up on another player like that is technically against the CoC for FAA. But I ask you.. was it fair for the whole room to 'team' against one player .. a player like HABAHA? A player type that we all know all to well? I think so. HABAHA represented the type of player that would do the things he did .... 'just because he can'.. and just because he wanted to ruin the fun for all the rest. Breaking the law is no excuse to catch a criminal, I admint, but in this case .. it sure felt good .. and felt like 'justice'. There is no other way than peer pressure and 'community justice' to punish a player for breaking the rules .. and bad behavior.. just no other way. I have NO guilt feelings. Remember: No sys-ops was present.

What say you?

HABAHA continued with his antics for over and hour .. and for over and hour the rest of us felt like peace keepers .. the coppers of AA :) New tactic for HABAHA pops up .. now he starts running. Now keep in mind this fellow is in a spit 9 .. and he can outrun every plane in the sky! Enter Excalibur. Excalibur and I chased HABAHA for at least 45 minutes and neither of us could catch him. Neither Excalibur nor I had damage to our aircraft and we both flew a Spit 14.

HABAHA during this whole escapade hardly says a word .. toward the end he proclaims a complaint about 3 to 1 odds and so forth and an occasional "he he". There is certainly no complaint about anything he said .. only what he did.

I sure hope someone forwards me the film they have. I'm going to send it in. AA needs participation and pilots .. but not this type of person. HABAHA is an alias I'm sure. This pilot is good enough that there is no way he needed to do the things he did. His only goal was to ruin the good time of everyone else .. and he's sure he won't be discovered or caught. He was very bold. The AA community just does not need a player like this .. and I'm sure we will all be shocked when we find out who the real pilot was. Not only did he break all the rules.. but the social rules as well. I also suspect he was carefully using a speed hack.... but that would be hard for me to prove.

I've also had the pleasure of being attacked by Mr. HABAHA. Yes, he seems to be a very talented pilot and I have my assumptions of who this person may be, but I"ll keep these to myself. I believe that what the room did that day was the right way to handle the situation in lieu of the fact that there was no sysops present, which is not uncommon.

All I can say is that I wish I could fo been there to get some pay back!

No one has uploaded film yet, so if you have film send it in.

If you think HABAHA is someone you know just winding you up, you would be wrong. He is from Korea.

I blame Fox. ;)

[I don't think even Nitro would behave like that. Speaking of .. thought he would never post here again.. his words, not mine]

I happy to announce that the party involved is not a member of the USAAC, TAA or UKAA communities.. in fact he is .. as Temper points out ... Far East. I know who the gent is at this point and under his normal tag I've flown with him many times with no problem. This person in "other" Communities is considered an "outlaw" and it looks like he will be removed from this community as well once that film arrives as promised.

SEND THAT FILM TO ME .. OR SEND IT IN.. THE COMMUNITY IS READY TO TAKE ACTION.

Because ... when I turned my film on .. he never runwayed or rammed me because I was smarter by that time and didn't give him opportunity .. and I never had him in view when he did it to others.. so my film is useless..

You can still use that film Tbar. Use the tab key to go to the other pilots' planes. Use external views to check for tires on runway. Use the arrow keys to stop, back up, etc.

Oh, and hit F1 to see all the replay commands. :)
