Hello Boys and Girls,

Just wanted the give you and overview on the practice session that Zarn set up for us on Wednesday,

07/04/2007.

In one word: Outstanding. Attending this practice session was Zarn, Tbar, Strife, Talon, Emrys and Myself.

The communication on Team Speak was a lot better than in previous practice sessions, but we still need a lot of improvement. As far as our flying skills, they are getting better and better.

For this session Tbar and Myself winged up together against Zarn, Strife and Talon. Emrys showed up a little while later and hooked up with Zarns wing. Tbar and myself worked pretty well together although I still have a tendency to chase lone enemy planes by myself.

I was a lot more active on TS and, between myself and Tbar, we pretty much had things covered. We pressed the GB base as often as we could to keep Zarns wing pinned. When we did get shot out they pinned us as best that they could, but not good enough. If one of us made a run, most of the time the whole group would follow the runner or they stayed at the base and pinned. This made it pretty easy for the other plane to get up and get to battle speed and altitude.

There were several times that I would take off in a different direction than Tbar only to find that the whole group would follow either Tbar or myself, which ever they thought might be easyier for them to kill. This made it easy for us to make a lot of kills. Many time I would see 2 to 3 planes following me with Tbar closing in on there 6 with out any idea he was there.

In short this is called target fixation. Not a good thing to have or do. My downfall was not making it easier for Tbar to come in and get the kill. Instead of pulling up and slowing the fight I would dive and extend the fight making it harder for Tbar to catch up.

All in all we had a very good practice session. This weeks SNL, we will be flying against USHA at 8:30 PM EST and 1:30 AM BST. What this means for us is that we will struggle to have enough pilots for this match. We need all the support we can get for our US pilots for this event.

I'm looking forward to flying this event. Hopefully we can get enough pilots in attendance.

Good Luck and Good Hunting!

JoKeR!

This week SNL USHA will send a couple of pilots right at us .. and keep a couple back for high altitude.

JoKeR's report on our practice was right on the money. We have got to start flying SMART and NOT in desperation to get a kill. A team kill is worth much more than a team death because we flew into AA .. gonna get that kill .. and end up dead.

Hi peeps.

Just like to say thanks to all who turned up to practice on Wednesday. Would agree completely with your account Joker and add that i have always learned lots from those type of practices. Ie, you learn most from the mistakes that you make. Also it was good to fly with newer pilots Emrys and Talon. Overall i thoroughly enjoyed the practice and hope we can encourage more pilots to attend at this practice time in future.

Regards to all
