Match Tips:

Tip 0. Is Situational Awareness: Look around!!! Use your map, radar and COMMUNICATE.

Tip 1. Bad situation: if you are in a bad situation & you know you can?t win, try your best to drag your opponent to the deck & shoot who you can on the way down before you die. Try not to get killed & leave the enemy in an advantage situation / altitude.

Tip 2. Return To Base: if you are damaged & need parts, make sure you can make it before you RTB. DO NOT! RTB with the enemy on your six, this leads the enemy to your runway & then leaves them with a pin advantage. It?s better to drag the enemy as far away from your base as you can, and take a death for the team if you have to.

Tip 3. Pinning: when your team has a pin it best to cover all sides of the enemies runway (communicate) N, S, E, W) & attack planes leaving the runway out of AA gun range (this prevents less escapes), try not to engage planes in the center of AA gun cover. Communicate with your teammates! Don?t dive in together! BnZ in an up & down staggered motion, and create ropes for your teammates.

(Always communicate with your teammates in this situation.)

Tip 4. Commands: follow commands of your squad leaders in a match.

Do not take matter into your own hands!!! you engage together & die together (teamwork). Commands are not always perfect but this is best way to learn from your mistakes.

Tip 5. H2H: try not to H2H with your opponent, this may result in you being badly damaged or dead, its better to evade & let your teammates help you with covering fire. Only time I suggest to H2H is when you already have bad damage & then try to damage your opponent before you die.

Tip 6. Chasing the enemy: try your best to have good situation awareness doing this. do not send more then 2 players after one running enemy. Some players may have better skills then enemy their chasing or visa versa.

So it best to only chase one player with no more then 2 pilots, if you see 2 teammates chasing one enemy already turn & use SA in engaging the next closest enemy.

(Always communicate with team in this situation.)

Tip 7. Engaging on your teammates target: if you see your teammate has the advantage on his target do not engage that target instead use your SA and watch for the next incoming enemy. By engaging your teammates target while he has the advantage leads to no cover for you & your teammates 6 with any incoming enemies. (Communicate & call your Targets!!)

SA means Situational Awareness, which means knowing what is going on around you at all times. For instance, if you are in a dogfight and someone else approaches, you would know which way to go to get away from both pilots. It takes experience, but it is something that will make you a far better pilots.

If you have any more questions, ask away as there are many players eager to help rookies. Also, you can contact a Guide by using the Guide button on the main page. You can then set up a time with him for some personal instruction.
