Tides of War

Hiya,

As the squad being divided into a Euro based squad led by me and a US based squad by TBar. I would like to strt getting the Euro squad ready so we are all sorted and ready for when we become a seperate squad as such.

I have a few aims which I would like to achieve before march when the split is proposed to happen. I hope to:

--Recruit another 10 or so members, this may sound a lot but not all of these will stay regardless our efforts.I'm hoping to get at least 4 more musturded up out of this 10.

--Those EURO pilots that are AWOL will be contacted, and if there is no response by the time the squads split into brother squads then they will be taken off the pilot list.

--Get more people attending the training sessions, this may mean hosting more training sessions to suit everyone's time with work etc.

--I am also going to practise my calling skills in matches and my training skills by practising flying different planes and watching and learning from the best.

This list will probably change as we talk and decide our plan of action.

All inputs will be appreciated.

I would like to interject a few thought/points here...

BSS does NOT have to be the name of the new euro group. In fact if you want to check your WWII history .. you might consder taking the name of some Historical Brit Squad ..

If you did decide on using another name/squad to fly "in honor of" We can change the website pretty dern quickly to reflect that. It would not be much change etc.

This squad no matter what the name will be a ToW Squad .. still use ToW tag if the group wants to. ToW does not eveeen insist that you use a ToW tag .. we like that, but you don't have to.

I feel very strongly in allowing the squads under the ToW banner to operate in a manner 'they' feel it should be .. the only strings are a ToW ToS and CoC which are all basicaly: "Be a nice guy".

And please.. don't talke or consider this like a "spliting' up .. it is really 'growing'. I know I've used the term 'split the sauad' but I hope everyone understand we will still be ONE group in the end and still be buddies etc .. we are simply expanding the horizons for what we can do in the future .. and its looking good! We have come a long way baby!!

(I will do some reasearch into the names of old WWII British squads and we can all come to an agreement on whether were changing it or not and what to if so.)

If all you EURO Pilots try to get to EURO pilots onto our site and put a apllication in that would be a great help thanks.

Or if you American based guys do the same if you see some EURO pilots please do the same.

Thats all that is needed is to get them to fill in an application form at http://bss.tidesofwar.net (DONT use www.) and I will do all the rest and give them all the information they need untill we know they are a true member.

Ok so I'm back right heres my initial pearls of unwisdom

all Pilots should have a ToW tag.

the US based BSS should have another tag BSS_Tbar and so on

the Euro should do the same YGAB_Picken (young gifted and broke )

that way when Tides fly every1 has a ToW tag, and also the 2 squads can also fly against each other easily distinguished. Anything you all need I'm back from my course (which I could of passed 2 hours after starting as they never realised I've run that machine before ) but hell it was a week away from the wife Looking forward to tomoro's 4 squad if thats still on? going to check now if not i WILL be flying no matter what!
