plus it would look bloody cool!

No' date=' not yet. Maybe something for the next release/patch though.

i was going to ask if a voice command for fire crew's would be available for surface ship's' date=' giving them the chance to put out fire's just as sub's can dive to clear there's.
A smoke screen on anything other than a clear, near wind free day, would be of no use.

but even so "it would looking frickin cool!" that is true.. but i think the more important reason to have a "smoke screen" option would be that you could do more stuff! i mean another key would produce results! and again "it would look cool!" oh and don't forget that even if 99 out of 100 times the smoke wouldn't work.. wouldn't that 1 time that it saved your life or one of your buddies in your battle group be worth it? i think so.

Ive got some pretty impressive pictures of destroyers making smoke in some old books of mine' date=' and chemical smoke is phenominally thick and heavy, it has it's place evev if it is to cover from air attack for a short while! 
ohh, any chance of Tribal class destroyers in the next release?

I just wanted to add my 2cents into this discussion.

Of all the ships would'nt the oil-tanker should have more bellowing plumes of black smoke? Since the AI isnt affected by the smoke screen (it would be good if they were) it would only count as an enhanced effect, but in multiplayer if u have a oil-tanker bellowing alot of thick black smoke- it could be good for cover- for those who are taking a beating of course. And if there are a few oil tankers burning/sinking in the area- the visability will be poor for everyone in the immediate area for a short time. Which i think would mix things up- make it more intense- such as surface ships having to slowing down and being carefull to avoid collision with others. Relying upon your tatical map, until the smoke begins to thin out.

However most ships sink fast, maybe alittle too fast, which would help the lag factor with slower running computers when in multiplayer perhaps.

Anyway, i was hoping to see more black smoke and flames, perhaps that will be the case in the addon/update in the works.
