Mission Objectives

I downloaded the demo, played it for a day, and bought the game online. I am continuing to play the demo while eagerly awaiting the arrival of the real thing. It's a very impressive game. Thanks for all the great work, GMX and company.
I noticed something in the demo that struck me as worthy of a suggestion. I know that the time limit is designed to increase the challenge, but it seems rather silly that you can devastate the enemy, survive the mission and still lose.
While playing the demo, I sank a destroyer and 7 merchants for a total of over 50,000 tons. No enemy ships were left and I had survived, yet I lost the game a few minutes before destroying the last three merchants. If the idea of the time limit in the game world is that after so many minutes, the convoy will be in range of close air support, thereby making your mission unwinnable, then I think that should actually occur, rather than arbitrarily "losing", even though you have clearly won.
I'm no expert, and there are probably a ton of reasons why you guys did that; it just struck me as sort of odd, so I thought I'd mention it.
