Tides of War

its seems this mission have a time limit, i'm not very good in ASW so my main strategy is to wait until the sub running out of frash air but not after 20 minutes i got mission faild, any tips?

sometimes even if it says you failed if you still finish the mission it will come back up and say you beat it, but only somethims.
