Is it possible to install a second copy of Enigma on one computer? or does the copy protection prevent that? Anticpating questions as to my motive, 1) I play GOLD but would enjoy also playing non-GOLD (I think there is enough difference [Pre-patch]which makes it a distinct gaming experience in and of itself (subjective, I know, I am speking, of course, only of myself); 2)It would be great to have a copy to mod while keeping a pristeen copy a click away: if anything should go awry (trust me, it will) with the mod-copy, I don't lose downtime while refitting, etc. Appreciate responses.

You could install it in 20 PCs, but you might need to take the discs from PC to PC in order to play the game on them.
It would depend on who distributed the disc. For the Dreamcatcher version, it needs the original disc in the drive due to Starforce limitations. I'm unsure if GMX or other distributed versions have the same limitations.

No it is not possible to have 2 E:RT installs on the same system, not even a Demo and a Retail/Gold, not even 2 demos. I would have liked to have all the demos installed before the Retail a couple years ago, but it was a no-go

Yeah, but I hear ya, Jesper. I figured as much. I know with some games,
MAFIA, for instance, you can install a 2nd copy as long as you change the name of the directory to which you install...thought maybe you could do the same workaround with
ERT but I see that ain't gonna happen...not in this life...

Without some kind of registry hack (at least), the multi-boot situation would be the only thing I can think of.
