He was an
excellent Dr in a awful American movie. He was far better than Eccleston for sure!

I'm dead serious, and not in the minority either.
McGann is an excellent actor, and while he may not be the best Doctor (Pertwee rules
), he was better than most. Paul was also great in films like Paper Mask etc.
Chris Eccelston was "ok", and that's being kind. David Tennant...well, we'll see.
But McGann was a great choice who was sadly never even considered by Russell Davies to return in Doctor Who.
You may not like him in Hornblower, but he's a great actor regardless.
If you've seen his work, and think otherwise, then I'm the one having a laugh.
