Re-installed enigma recently to gold patch ( have US retail version), and I have noticed my ships crew has very low accuracy, even when the enemy is alongside.

I like to jump in and take a shot, but with torpedo's it's not really practical.

I was wondering if there is any file you can adjust to up your crew's hit ratio, as it's pretty pathetic when the enemy is right next to your guns and they still miss constantly.

Any suggestions? Or do i have to just suck it up and continue with trying my own hand if I get the chance at the expense of my ships safety? I think it would have been cool if there was some way the dev's could implement a way you could train your crew perhaps in gunnery skill?

You know, I was thinking it would be nice if when you left to man say one of the deck guns that an alternate captain would take control of the ship and continue with the torpedoes etc.. I agree, when you leave the helm you get yourself in trouble.

As to the accuracy of my gunners. I have always felt they leave a lot to be desired. East has stated though that there is no difference between yours and the enemies.

Right, there is no difference in your AI and the AI's AI

Its how you line your vessel up for best broadside salvos.
