WOW---i just got the game this morning (from Amazon)--and its weaning me off flight simming ---AND SH3....
.......I got the Gold version(here in UK),is thereany patches for it,or is it fully loaded? Great game.and i see it may go MP.Cant understand why i never spotted this game before,I been on it all day,sink ships ok--but not shot a plane down yet :!!:
What's this about GMX--i see they got the same game going?

In order to play/create custom missions you need the gold mini patch
you can read all about GMX here on the forums, glad to see you didnt buy that version

A convert from SH3! thats an accomplishment. ERT puts you right into action, and thats why alot of skippers prefer it to SH3...and the addition of surface boats, of course...

In order to play/create custom missions you need the gold mini patch
I checked on filefront, they dont have the mini patch, and 3dgamers only has the euro. retail mini patch. I have the US game with the standard gold patch.
Where can I get the mini patch?

You dont need that patch,
US Retail (Version 2.1.3) + Gold Patch = US Int. Gold (Version 3.0.1)
EU Retail (Version 2.0.1)+ Gold Patch = US Int Gold (Version 3.0.1)
EU Gold (Version 3.0.0) + Mini Patch = US Int Gold (Version 3.0.1)

You dont need that patch,

EU Gold (Version 3.0.0) + Mini Patch = US Int Gold (Version 3.0.1)
My game only has limited custimization such as weather, time of day, enemy faction, and I want to be able to customize my missions more. I'm assuming to do more than the basics that I need to download mission editor. Do I just need the latest mission editor download or is that last update a patch for a previous version of mission editor?

Yes but those other options like "weapons" etc in the patrol menus are locked, and cant be used in Chapter 1.
To customize missions, you ned TimeTravellers mission editot ( see
http://www.tidesofwar.net/enigma/em/index.php )
Or simply use a text editor, see the mission creation forum.
