Ok, I play on hard setting, and have tried the spoilers for this mission with no luck. No matter what I do, all of my DE's are destroyed within the first two minutes and they only take out one or two enemy in the process. Is there a rank after commander that I might be able to get so I can order the fletchers? I think if I can control the fletchers then I might be able to tactically win this. As it is now, the only way I will ever win is by sheer luck.

As the title says, it is 10a. I am playing US Gold version of Enigma. I have a Fletcher DD (8 torps). I will look farther back for more help, but what I really want to know is if there is a way I can order the friendly DD's not just the DE's. As it is now I can order about 6 friendly DE's but they get sunk very fast and the DD's do not respond to my orders, prolly because they themselves are Commanders same as I am. It just seems odd that in this mission I am outgunned, outnumbered, and can only issue orders to half of the armed fleet that is with me.

You can only give orders to ships that are driven by captains with lower rank than you. some of the DD's might have that.

Is there a rank above Commander? If there is then I might redo some of the previous missions that I did not get any medals in.

The answer is yes ,, but only when you complete the last ones !

I need help with 10b. The battle ship keeps sinking me no matter what I do.

It can take several attempts , even when you follow the tips . Have another read of those in old postings .

Head north and east and get some distance , but try to fire a few torpedo salvos when you can - I usually set them zero depth and plenty range 8000 m at least .

Watch you dont have your own ships in their way !

Partly it is surviving long enough , but I know that is not easy .

Make an instant start , and set torpedos when you are underway .

keep altering course slightly . Read previous postings on it.

If that all fails ... try again ..
