Guys, found this referenced over at a Ubi forum - all you salts would know about Naval captains, usually Brit ones, sending flag or Aldis signals consisting of biblical quotations (ie sending "who the Lord loveth he chastiseth" to a battered ship). Here's a site with a whole bunch of them - pretty funny stuff.
The thread in Ubi where I found it told of a message received during the battle of Okinowa during constant kamikaze attacks. The message read "Hebrews 13:8".
The officer looks it up, finds the verse "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever."
