Just wondering how many people out there are playing around with editing missions now that we can do that? Things are pretty slow over in the Community Modding/Custom Missions forum.

Is it just Pioneer and Me?

I've been working on a combat patrol mission over the holiday, but it is an uphill struggle as I have never scripted anything before. As soon as I have something working that everyone can test I will post it up :)

It's good not to feel alone. Thanks for posting guys.

I've been playing around with a project mostly in an effort to learn how all of the code works. Most of it is starting to make some sense at last. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll have something to give to the group.

hi jesper,

are you sure that the mini gold patch is working with the german gold edition which you can buy right now in the stores?

download the enigma_german300_gpatch

unpack them to the enigma folder, when i hit the exe file i had a message like:

target place file is corrupt,

remember that east said, that the mission creater for the gold version is still under construction or am i just to stupid to install the mini patch correctly, sadly there is no readme file for doing it correctly

Hi all,

I am a new sailor on board, I've been playing around with the Custom Mission Editor and was able to get my mission to show after I used Textpad to edit Notepad entries. It appears the tab spacing in Notepad was unreadable to the mission editor. Does anyone know the full range of integers? I.e., 0-99999?

or 0-999? and what determines the mission objectives. i.e., what are those integers? I am interested to hear from other members on there process.

Thanks,

JL007

Hi JL007,

Welcome aboard. Notepad should be okay for creating missions, so there may be something else wrong. As a check I just created a file with tabs and checked it in a hex editor to make sure they were okay. Note that the least little thing wrong in your mission file will cause it to not run correctly or crash to the desktop.

A graphical mission editor is coming in the near future which will make mission creation a whole lot easier, creating the file for you. It's about 90% complete now.

Thanks Timetraveller.. I am looking forward to using the new mission editor. I also want to thank all the staff members, you all do a great job getting information back to questions in a short amount of time.
