Firing Torpedos At Pt Boats?

Is it worth the effort? I've tried it, but no luck yet. Anyone have tips for this, or should I forget it and use the deckgun?

Torpedos at best will make them try and avoid you. If they are close you might get a hit. Set them to run at 0 depth and highest speed.

I managed to hit 2 Pt's with torps but still cant finish that dam German surface 4.

Deck and AA guns are your #1 choice vs MTBs, Fish are rather useless as the MTB turns on a dime

If I'm remembering correctly, I got past that one by zig-zagging at high speed and concentrating all fire on one target at a time. I spent most of the time in spectator view (to watch for torpedos), just going to binocular view to pick a new target. I managed to win on my 2nd or 3rd try.
