Us Patch Help

Hey, just got the game yesterday. Played it last night and all was fine.
I found the patches for it. A US a and b patch. No clue what the are for since there is no real listing of what they do that I could find.
ANyway, I also downloaded the crash fix and everytime I try to run this damn game it crashes my PC.
What gives.
I run the "ert_fix" and I get this message -"latest protection drivers installed on your system, no need to update."
I just want to play the game.
Any help would be great.

The patches are game updates,fixes,improvements,etc
You dont need ert_fix.exe if you didnt have problems after you installed the game.

Well the game will not start. THe second I click run it reboots.
I am uninstalling it and going to try it again. Should I not do the patches? a or b, or both?

apply both and make sure that you run the STF3 clean tool before you installs again.
A: uninstall
B: remove STF3
C: install
D: apply patch 213a
E: apply patch 213a
F: report back with your results

Sorry. I did also reinstall everything )mius the STF3) and had the same results.

STF3 is the disc protection tool "Star Force 3"
Does it crash both with and without the patches?
Do oyu have the latest driver for your videocard? www.nvidia.com its version 66.93.

where do I get stf3?
It would only crash with the patches? Stock it works.
And I just updated my drivers, but it looks like the have been updated again. So I will give that a whirl.

Got them from this site.
I just downloaded and ran the STF thing. Not sure if I should even mess with the patches. I would like to see the new game play, but it aint worth the headache I keep getting from the pc crashes.
I have reinstalled, rant he stf I downloaded from that link.
Should I run the crash fix

both or one??
Thanks for the help guys, sorry for being a pain, but I enjoyed the game. I want to enjoy all of it.

Did all that.
Same freaking thing. No game should be this complicated to play.
Hell this makes STEAM look good.
Anybody got a suggestion, or should I just box it up and get my money back?
Sorry, been dealing with this crap for bout 9 hours now. No reason for it.
