Ok, I used to have no problem with useing voice commands in Enigma. I had to reinstall my operations system and therefor reinstall enigma. This has left my voice commands all messed up.
My ships do things that I do not order, example: cease fire, fire torps, zoom map in and out, change throttle settings. This has become such a problem that I have to mute voice commands to even play.
I have tried retraining the profile several times, increaseing the accuracy, and played with the settings to try and fix this. I am lost, is there anything I can do that I ahve not already thought of?
Oh, and just so you know, this seems to be worse when Im in a sub than when Im in a surface ship.
I use a headset/mic combo if that makes any difference (shouldn't since It worked with this before)
Thanks for any help.

the answer depends on your windows version, enigma rising tide version, (usa or euro etc), how many patches you have installed... and whether you have reinstalled the latest drivers for audio, video, and directX.

Have you installed the EnigmasAPI ?
If so reisntall it (just click on the enigmasapi.msi located on the CD:\speech
if not, then install it.
Try reset your settings back to default in control panel -> speech
then set the audio input to your soundcards wave device and try Enigma.

Does this EnigmasAPI automatically install? I am fairly certain it is installed (im at work) but will check when I get home. I will reinstall if its there, or install if it isn't.
I have US version and have patched three times I believe.
Thanks

The enigma aspi is NOT needed in some versions of windows.. but we dont have your system description yet so its hard to give correct advice without guessing using luck and trial and error.

Sorry, I run XP Pro SP2. I have an old Sound Blaster Live audio card. AMD Barton 2500+ (1.8GHz) and 1 gig of DDR2700.
I didn't get any time today to even get on my PC at home so I will have to reinstall what you said when i get home. I don't recall it asking when I installed Enigma after the format but after you mentioned this i did recall it asking me the first time I had Enigma installed.
Is there a way I can check to see if it is installed before I try to reinstall just to see if thats the whole problem? I'll reinstall either way to make sure nothing went wrong in the install, but it would be nice to know if I had it installed at all in the beginning.
Thanks
Booky
heh, my 1.8 GHz thing made a cool face, what up with that? hehe

Ok, just to update you all. I used the CD and found the EnigmaAPI file in speech. I clicked on it and the install window poped up. It asked me if I wanted to repair the current install or remove the old one. I clicked the repair one, and it did some things. I have not been able to test this yet, but it does confirm that I did indeed have it installed in the first place. When I get home tomarrow from work I will play a mission and see what it does.
