I got this screenshot trying to see if theres anything inside a plane...and low and behold, A WEIRD LOOKING ROTATING BOX! What does this mythical figure do? I must know! EAST!!!

Looks to me like an artist (and QA) made a mistake..not sure what it is.

Thats the enigma machine - a cleverly disguised onboard computer with light speed optical cpu and super intelligent self aware consciousness. It arrived in this timeline from the future, in order to alter the outcome of WWII.

I think it is the raft and survival supplies for when a plane is downed, obviously, it is never really used...

It's the radio, into which the invisible observer/bombadier screams

"HOLY $#!% We're going down! MAYDAY MAYDAY!"

Or listens to Rat Patrol Radio, mayhap?
