It's me again. wave: It's a vacation day and I'm surfing the ERT forums. A lot of good stuff in here.

I'm trying to establish a German faction battlegroup/fleet/squad/flotilla.......errr whatever. I'm building the website now, but am not sure how to proceed. Are there any suggestions as to how we are expected to form these units? How large a force should we aim for? Fleet? Squadron? Flotilla? or Battlegroup, whatever size that is.

I have finally gotten to the Scapa Flow cut in the Imperial surface campaign...........and was shocked to see that dastardly (good word there), craven attack. That stuff was really well written, btw. Whoever did that deserves kudos.

I was going to use 1st Imperial Battlegroup as the name, but now 4th Atlantic Fleet looks good, after viewing the clip. Would that be claiming to much territory? Should I go for a smaller formation. Are the units allowed to sail more than one type of vessel? Will they be limited to the number and types of ships they can use? Will we operate as individual units or join with others for operations?

So many questions, please help! notify:

Of course, this is really academic, as I'm only a fleet of one so far. :laugh:

If you have not done so, go to the Tides of War main Forums and sign up for your own (free) forum for your battle group. Then it will be linked to the Official Enigma Multiplayer Forum like the two below. This is essential for communication with your group. Just go to the link at the top of the page that says community forums. PM Jesper and he will help set you up.

Thats totally up to you and your group. In Naval warfare bigger is better. I am a member of the Assassins Enigma's first battlegroup. We are growing slowly so we can keeep control and spend more time having fun and less time managing the group but it's totally up to you.

Yes (as long as they all it the same faction)
That will be totally up to you and your group

Will we operate as individual units or join with others for operations?

You will be able to join up with anyone in your faction.
