Hi
I have a mic problem that has surfaced since updated my system. Basically when I was running win 98 my mic was working fine with the game and when i patched it with the first uk patch it still worked. Then I had a system overhaul which involved installing Xp and then i reinstalled the game and patched with both uk patches and although my mic is in full working order the game does not recognise it.

Have you installed the Enigma sAPI (its on the cd)
Have you switched the driver in the speech applet to use your soundcards wave device?

12: Microphone Issues:
Make sure your mike is plugged in to the correct jack outlet on your Soundcard.
Make sure you have installed the Enigma-sAPI (its on the CD) If you got Win98/98SE/ME you need to run the *.exe file from \cdrom\win98 in order to be able to install the *.msi file from the \cdrom\speech\ folder.
Click Start->Settings & Printers->Control Panel->Speech (Win98/98SE/ME: its Start->Settings->Control Panel). then click on "input", from the pulldown select your Soundcards Wave Device, click on "OK" click "Train Profile" and complete atleast 2 tests, so Windows will recognize your voice/accent. (Preferly you should complete them all, and to make it even more perfect do them twice).

I already had .Net and the SpeechSDK5.1 installed. No Sapi needed.
