Dont know if this has been mentioned before but how about having some Q-Ships, irt would make for an interesting time if you were not sure if they were merchant or a heavily armed Q-Ship, i am sure the Assassins would like em.

Good suggestion Rob - that would certainly give a nasty edge to the gameplay

I think by Q-ships they meant armed tankers. I think they need a bit more of a rethink in this area.

Outstanding idea, Rob! I vote for this!
How about Q-ships for all three sides as they could all use them. The German commerce raiders of WWII (and WWI) came about due to a totally different strategic situation than what Imperial Germany finds itself in our world.
The possibility of battle between Q-ships then comes up, lol.
The name of the first Q-ship should be the Commodore Rob.

I belive the term you are looking for, in that case, is AMC (Armed Merchant Cruiser), such as the Rawalpindi, which sacrificed herself to prevent the Scharnhorst from breaking out.

Q-ships is a correct term used by the RN

they were first used in WW1 to counter u-boats:)
