Why are DE's only given 500 rounds for the 4-inch Main guns, IN TOTAL? I mean corvettes get 800 rounds, so why so little ammo for ships that would be in desperate need of lots of the stuff?

Mabey the DE's only have so much storage capacity since they have to carry ammo for other guns, including still being able to flank at a reasonably high speed. But the patch suggests that mabey you can decide on how much ammunition you need / want. Anyway, just some speculations. wave:

I think maybe it's the difference in size of ammo for the 4" guns compared to the 3" guns. Bigger shells, so they can only fit so many in the magazine.

Corvettes and DEs both have 4-inch guns.
