I just completed the Tactical Interception patrol with the KMS Kaiser Wilhelm. I finally sank both LFN Battlecruisers. I was gloating over having just sent 80,000+ tons worth of limey battlecruisers down to visit their pal Davy Jones, when the mission log totally imploded my ego. I had only sunk 27,758 tons!!! What gives?!

You only get credit for the kill and the "remaining tonnage". Meaning anyone helping damage the ship you sink get's a share of the credit.

So, I take it that if a DD so much as fires one shot at the Hood, then they get a full share of the credit? I can see that being fair when small ships take each other on, or a bunch of small ships take on a BB (not that they have much chance for success). But in this case, the only thing that sunk those bad boys were my 15" shells. Oh well, at least I can say that I sank 2 BB's in one engagement. Image

An added feature that would be very helpful is a health status for your opponent. In most of the naval engagement narratives that I've read, both sides had spotters at least attempting to count the number of hits inflicted on the enemy. A simple report of the number of hits by weapon type would suffice. Counts of "over" and "under" shots and full shooting statistics after the engagement is over would be cool too.

When are you going to be adding more BB's to the game, especially American ones? I was really bummed out when I finished the American campaign and the biggest ship available was a still DD. crybaby:

I wouldn't expect further ships until the next patch or chapter 2 of singeplayer ;)

Commander Mark Ingraham has decided on a change in tactics. He will now surface near every almost-dead battleship he sees and surface to machine-gun it and get a share of the tonnage. crazy:

so you'd get what, a half-ton of credit? ;)

The percentage you get of the tonnage is based on the percentage of DAMAGE you did to the ship. putting a hundred 50cal rounds into it won't help you much.

i am sure i get no tonnage for enemy BBs. i sunk both of them quite often with the Hood and still end up with less overal tonage than a single BB.

i am sure my DDs didnt even scratch the paint of the enemy battleships because i sank them at the beginning of the mission to have all the fun for myself :D

it might be possible that planes might have hit them, but the majority of the damage must have come from my 15"
