Hi.

First of all, thanks for a fantastic game.

I'm curious if there's a way to achieve the same level of control in this game without voice control as you can achieve with it. I travel for work and spend nearly every night in a hotel room with a roommate, and cannot use voice control as it would unfairly disturb my roommate. Also, while I enjoy the extra realism it provides, sometimes I'd rather just let my computer spend its processing power on the rest of the game. One thing in particular I'd like to see would be a keyboard shortcut for "take evasive."

It's on the BTAC I believe - it's the button next to the ones for setting AA guns and main guns to defend.

I'm looking for a keyboard shortcut. Like, using T, G, and B to control the throttle.

Yeah key binds and a consle are the next things this game needs

So, can anyone tell me why there isn't keyboard shortcut for "engage target" command?

Or i can't find it???

a game without key binds is weird. key binds, a highly detailed graphic mission editor from the developer, and multiplayer. then this game becomes the best naval game I have ever played.

Also, we need some better voice packs. I can't captain a flower corvetter with Japanese accents...I need british ones like in "The Cruel Sea"...snorkers, go oh!

So, can anyone tell me why there isn't keyboard shortcut for "engage target" command?

The keybind... is... both of these options (sort of):

1. click your mouse on the target in either tactical display (big or small), say "engage target".

2. aim your binoculars/periscope at the target and see the targets name appears, then say "engage target".

There is not any other choice that I know of currently.

mark you target on the tac screen (the small one) then click on the deckgun icon and press fire. (or hold ctrl-key and click on multiple guns and press fire).

Urm. You guys know that keyboard commands use the keyboard, not the mouse and voice control, right?

Well sethar.. there isnt any keyboard command yet, and there isnt any planned patches for chapter one beyond the gold as of this date.
