When the Navy issued a requirement for a heavily armed and fast battle wagon that would be a asset of the US Naval Expansion program, they had no idea about the monster about to develop before their eyes. When the Hudson class design was finalized, the design team had created a vessel that could easily anihilate any other vessel afloat. The massive 12 inch guns spread across 4 turrets can demolish an enemy warship in seconds. The smaller 5 incgs spread across ten turrets make the ship very effective in destroyimg convoys. In a space of 6 minutes, one Hudson destroyed 11 Merchany vessels. The torpedoes make it effective in destroying other large warships and the DC's allow it to pummel subs. The superstructure brisles with AA weapons, whch would provide a powerful deterent to attacking aircraft. Their armor, while not as heavy as a BB, allows more than enough protection for the world's deadliest warship.

Not much cop, 12 inchers. HMS HOOD has 15 inchers. IJS YAMATO has 18.1 inchers. These beasts would see off your piddly Capital Ship with its pre-dreadnought armaments.
