You people going to get to read the stories or something?

engineroomwrench here

just got in, bout 430 am. I drove 500 miles today!! :D

it was great convention, however, a few more could have shown up. East and the tesseraction team are all tops, those guys are great! really trying hard to please us fans, they are pouring their hearts into this project, so hype the game in your area as much as possible!!!

As for the fan fic........well, I think I will let East answer that one himself. :P

the multi player is coming along nicely, there are still a few gremlins in the system, however, overall, it seems to work great!!

( I managed to sink East with a full spread from a mark 9 u boat !!! )

The modding community has much to be excited about as well, we are very soon going to be given control over a wide array of tools to use, and techniques as well.

Enigma has an interesting future ahead of it, but I can't stress enough that IT WILL NOT SURVIVE WITHOUT OUR SUPPORT!!!

Tell everyone you know about it, as once it goes multiplayer, the sky will literally be the limit!.

Thanks East, Sean And ALEX,AND the rest of your crew for a wonderful insight into this amazing game!!

There was no way I was going to post after driving home... Lucky I didn't crash along the way, missed my exit out of Eugene and kept heading east... Then later on did it again and added another 20 miles to my trip.

I have to say, it was definitely worth the drive. The Tesseraction folks are some of the nicest people I've met, period. (Now, Argon on the other hand... :P ) Naw, everyone was wonderful. The community surrounding this game in general is great, and I think that's going to go along way in making it successful in the future. With the upcoming ability to mod patrol missions and eventually whole campaigns, along with new sets of camouflage and voice paks created by the community... The possibilities are endless as is the longevity of the game. I'll try to cover a bit more on the moding side (camo) in another post.

The multiplayer was excellent, and I'm sure everyone is going to be hearing stories about the various matches. We had an excellent time. Schnell boot duels were definitely fun, as Argon said. We've got a lot to look forward to there. Of course there are still thing in the works, and we've got a few more questions about that side of things ourselves. (By the way, East is a pretty mean captain)

I wanted to thank Shawn Eastley, for putting up with our grilling and sometimes off topic questions. I was impressed with his ability to so clearly express the mechanics, and other aspects of Enigma. I also wanted to thank Bobby Wolfe for his contribution and enjoyed chatting with him. Very talented artist, and I learned quite a bit. (You all need to pick up one or three of his limited edition prints available soon online). Of course, East deserves a huge thanks. Without him, none of this woulda been possible. I had a most enjoyable week-end and was overwhelmed by the dedication and passion these guys have for Enigma. (Also wanted to thank the others, Alex, Jason, Pat Paterson and RG Walters (from Blueback SS 581), Argon, Engineroomwrench, and Capt.. Maxim.

I'll go ahead and leave at that for now...

Favorite quotes from EnigmaCon 2004

"Oh! That's definitely going in!" Alex

"Who me?" East (in response to sinking a few ships)

"Go to Schnell!" Argon

Re the prints, its worth taking a close look at them (there are small versions on the EnigmaCON website). I spied an extra deck gun on the Salmon and 5" guns mounted on the port & starboard sides of the foc'sle on the Z class - very intriguing.

Got to Schnell! - LOL @ Argon Image

Also wanted to add, that in a room full of people using voice commands... It's funny to yell "BLOW BALLAST! ALL STOP!" and towards the end when Argon and I were watching Engineroomwrench down around crush depth, I had an extremely hard time not blurting out "DIVE DIVE DIVE!" just for giggles, but I was composed. THose mics were pretty sensative.
