Sailors On The Ship Visible? Detailed Damage Model

Hm some question to East.
Have you ever thought about to put sailors on the ships so it would be look more "at live"? Or is it to difficult. I always feel i fight against "Ghostships" In many flightsims you can see the pilots too. It would be great.
And a detailed damage Model would be great too. I thougt something like this.
Several Sections with its unique damage attributes.
For example: A 380mm shell penetrates 616mm steel at 5000 yards.
The computers checks what type of ship is hit, what compartment is hit and calculates the damage depending on several factors.
So it would be possible for example to sink a submarine with a single shot
because the pressure hull was hit or render it unable to dive.
Or a freighter takes more hits to sink because his cargo keep it on the surface.
This was often the case in WW2. Especially when surface ships attacked cargo ships. They had to take torpedos to bring it under water.
Write me please your suggestions.
Greetings
