first i want to say this game is exactly what ive been dreaming of for a LONG time!! i LOVE the history channel, and im always foaming at the mouth for shows on WWII naval combat history. i want to congradulate the Enigma dev team on a top notch game!! second, i want to say this board is AWESOME!! so far i dont know all the names of my peers here yet, and who to thank, but so far i have read a freekin TON of good info and tips on how to be a better skipper. thanks to everyone!!
ok, and now on to what ive been trying to learn about
id like to know more about how the depth of my sub affects engaging a target and launching a torpedo. how does this affect combat against surface ships, and how does this affect combat against other submerged subs (which i have not yet tried)?
so far, i haev only engaged surface ships from periscope depth and surface.
btw, is there a way to delete a users profile? my first attemps last night make my stats look like a boot camp dropout, unfit for OCS!! hehe
[off topic]U571, HfRO, Crimson Tide, Das Boot are ALL in my DVD collection, i definatly LOVE submarine movies!! i tried silent hunter 2 about 2 years ago (?), but i coudlnt get into it, i kept hitting the 24x time speed button, and missed every important event in the game... but i might be able to pull it back out and give it another try later
ive only had this game for not even 24 horus... but i can say its my new addiction!![/off topic]
