Wyomings were the class of US superbattleships that were never built. They would have been to big for the Panama canal. They had "only" the 16 inchers, but 12 of them, and outweighed, outsped, (is that a word?) and outarmored (I am sure that's NOT a word) the Yamatos.
Damn, if those were in the game, I might have to switch factions.
Although Vanguard might not be bad. Give a chance for "the only British battleship never to fire her guns in anger" to kick the crap out of some Boche.
Actually, I just have to say, I want to see the representations more than anything else. I've seen photos and all that, but seeing what any of those ships, KGV, Bismarck, Iowa, Yamato, Vanguard, Wyoming, etc. looked like in Enigma, would be awesome. I mean, Hood looked downright ugly compared to the fine lines on Iowa. And Hood is gorgeous in Enigma. Even they weren't in the game, seeing a proposed representation of those ladies would be awesome.

Guys - there are already ships in the game that date to after 1937 eg. the Flower Class Corvettes - construction commenced on these in 1939 and none of them saw action before late Summer 1940. In the current alternative universe that Enigma lives in I doubt it really matters if the ships included are anachronistic or not.

It does matter because we have to write the history that supports their early appearance.

Yes, but the guys on here are debating over the inclusion of real ships which existed before or after 1937 when so many anachronistic features are included in the story already like sonar, early to mid WWII style camouflage schemes, hedgehog, completely encased gun turrets on all destroyers and a load of other stuff. It does kind of make it pointless if you are going to include stuff like that and then nit pick over which ships get in and which don't. You may as well include everything that was around up to mid WWII. I suppose you could argue that as the fictitious war started two years early in 37 all of the nations had an advanced arms race over the real WWII situation and had therefore invented stuff two years earlier.

Basically that's some of what we are doing. Realize also however that in your campaigns you haven't seen all the ships or aircraft that are in the game...world.

I haven't

then where are they ? In some of the patrols I haven't played yet ? Or do you mean they are being added in the future ?
