On the voice commands, I'd like to have the ability to give course headings off the bow. For example "Heading to port 10" to give you a course of 260 degrees if you were heading due West when you issued it.

There is allready a command for changing the course. "Set course nnn degrees"

Yea I know that. But you first have to determine the course which you are currently on. Then subtract or add the number of degrees you want to change. I was saying a command of how many degrees of change from your current course. Which would be very helpfull when in an engagement or evading fish.

What ever happened to the JPG I sent you?

Its very easy to determine. the UK version show a blue gmx logo when you start it up. and it defaults to install in c:\program files\gmxmedia\enigma rising tide and it creates a start menu group as start->programs->gmxmedia->enigma rising tide.
I would think that the US/CAN version replaces all the gmx with dreamcatcher and the Aussie version uses Auran instead of gmx.

++++ the 100MB downloadable patch ONLY works for the UK version.

Reading the posts, it appears that the UK and US versions have certain differences.

Can you say where the Aussie version fits in (that's the one I have) insofar as does it need any patch at present ?

Just wanted to add my 2 cents in on this. I think the voice command feature in this game kicks major a$$! What an awesome idea. There is nothing better then barking the orders out, instead of clicking the mouse and pushing keys.

I also want to thank Sartori23 for the 'Train Profile' feature under the Speech icon in the Control Panel. When I first started all I could get the crew to do was "Periscope Depth". After a lot of training, there is nothing I can't get them to do.

If that's the equivalent of a SET SPEED "nn" command, I agree. Very useful in maintaining an even pace with another ship.

There's a reason we don't have that, the throttle only has 4 settings forward - we didn't model reduction gearing.

If this is a desired feature it certainly can be added to the list for next time.
