ill give him an bell.what part of the world does he hail from?, my sis is in the uk right now on the way to canada to stay with me relies there. it still takes over an monthto six weeks, normal sea mail to get anthing out here ,not much has changed in an century or so... .

He is in Ohio, USA. Its true that Groundmail out of USA takes 4-8 weeks, but airmail takes less than a week, and the cost to ship a CD to Europe is only ~6 USD, I would assume that it is the same to Australia (but i dont know).

Airmail for a CD from San Diego to Brisbane costs $4.

If you mail Thursday (West Coast USA) arrives Brisbane Tuesday. Of course if you mail Monday it arrives the following Monday too. Don't mail it Friday, it won't arrive till Monday week.

Well, It kind of stinks that I can't go buy a copy of gold, nor can I download it >;(

But the good part is that I will really feel like it is a new game when the patch is finally available to US. I got a new video card (GF 6800GT) on order Im sure it will make this GF4 ti4200 Pro look like it should be in an museum.

Suggestion for those eager to get the Gold:

Next Monday we begin the Patches for the Australian Version, French, Spanish and micro patch for the current GOLD.

By Wednesday we hope to have a deal secured for the USA version. We will start the Dreamcatcher patch then. Should be releasable by the 18th.

Hello all... just noticed the discussion on cdrom mailing.. yes I have sent a few cdroms out to players who needed the patch.

Even though I am in Ohio USA (east coast time zone), I have squad mates from Australia and I believe they will help you once I give them the heads up.

I'm pretty sure they have cable internet and burners .. so send me a private message with your details, and I will hold that info until I get the go ahead. When I get the go ahead, you will be sent "their" details so that you can forward a pre-paid envelope to them in Australia..

However, I might suggest the shortest possible mailing time is to allow them to send to you in their own package, once youve simply made a paypal payment.. (two way trips in the mail not necessary) so get your paypal account ready with a few bucks so there is no additional wait time. (reccomended fee is US $10)..

One other bonus if I sent it to you from USA, (if youre interested) is that I include some other nostalgia type files.. (some 49 WWII posters images, and an mp3 interview with East about the future of ERT from April2004 . Maybe I can get my squaddie to download these extra files from me some time as well..)
