Any update on when the patch is coming? Just a rough idea... would it be a week or maybe another month? I don't mind waiting. The added features sound awesome and will be well worth the wait!
enigma!:
P.S. How about the Iowa class battleships? omg:

We will be submitting it to Dreamcatcher this coming week. It will likely take a week to 10 days to finish up their testing before release.

Tirpitz a "super" battleship? notify:
Bismarck sure, but Tirpitz?
Yamato, Bismarck. Thats it in my book.
Unless you count the ones the US had under construction in 1945. "Ticonderoga" class? I am probably mistaken. None were ever put to sea.
I'm pretty sure the Tirpitz was the Bismarks sister ship, the Tirpitz probably has more AA guns mounted because the Bismarks main weakness was its lack of AA firepower, which was obvious when it was attacked and crippled by obsolete RN Swordfish.
As for considering it a Super Battleship, sure it was a deadly battleship, but if there was a ship you could class as 'Super Battleship' it would be the Yamato, its 18 inch guns alone would have given it a edge against any other Battleship.
As for putting Yamato in - No I think its better if we stick to 15/16 inch Battleships.

Tirpitz had the same 38cm (15") main armament as its sistership the Bismarck. You're right Lone Wulf, the Tirpitz did have a significantly upgraded AA capabilities and added new torpedo tubes to the design.
This website is excellent for those interested in the Bismarck and Tirpitz:
www.kbismarck.com
The largest guns of the war were the 18" guns on the Yamato. During sea trials they found that the muzzle blast from the guns actually damaged some of the lighter AA guns on deck requiring the installation of blast shields in certain areas.

Lone wulf you 100% right the Triptiz was the bismark's sister ship
But the Tripitz was considerd the largest BB of the war because of its 20inch extremly high powerd guns although that thankfully she never tested them out on any RN ships
But I dont think enigma would put that in
I think the Tirpitz main armament was the same as the Bismarcks - they both had 8x15 inch guns. The strength of the German Battleships was that they were heavily armoured, and it showed when the Bismarck was hit by several British Ships, but continued to float. It took a considerable amount of fire and torpedoes to finally sink the Bismarck.
And the Tirpitz was sunk in a Norweigen port by RAF Bombers.

Bismarck had a very tough hull but at the end of the engagement none of her main guns where firing indeed within five mins of the start of the ingagement with KGV and Rodney 2 of her 15" turrits where knocked out

East,
Thanks for the update on the patch. Very excited about it. This game is going to just rock on MP.
Finally a great game that does not require DSL or cable to play and be competitive at .
If all goes well my son will be joining us on MP.
