The part of "secrecy and anomosities from times past" was not accurate and uncalled for on my part Tbar.
I apologize for adding that in. I lost a paragraph or 2 in work and expanded on that but it didnt make it to the final cut.
To Sum it up I probably mean:
SALUTE TO ALL WHO ARE WORKING HARD TO KEEP THIS GAME GOING AND ALSO WATCHING OVER THE MASSES
And i dont want vipor to think our exchange was because he was from UK or that I wanted to pick on him. It was simply one pilot to another. We may have words but I would hope he would return to these forums and not feel slighted for an argument or misunderstang here. Sometimes we can read something and not get what the author was trying to say simply because we havent heard HOW they have said it.
So I guess thats it
But Tbar I respect your intention and comments.

Guessed i missed alot eh? Tbar, we knew BSS wouldn't join. Can cover it up however you want =)
3 Communities break the "community" up.
Infern. Vipor is from USA.
If i remember the SNL ran by USAAC last year was a shambles. Why we won't let you host it again. Was run inefficiently. After the first rounds, no one knew what was going on. Took several weeks to get the final fixtures to happen.
And yes this is a personal attack, im sure if i wasnt involved this time, no one would have an issue. Some people are very pety. Even FD have signed up. Everyone knows WS and FD have disagreements, but it will never stop them competing against us. Whereas is does others.
If people are going to preach, "for the community", then act of on it. Don't seperate yourself because you have issues with a pilot or two.
If you don't want to fly SNL tbar, fine, do not. I encourage other BSS to not listen to you. If your that pety, that the SNL "has" to be run by a "community" then thats your own doing. I'm guessing events over the years not ran by any sort of LM was inefficient and unliked.
Guess no one likes TOCA? Yet AA F1 was the original, which was not ran by the LM, (well pretty sure of that), yet everyone loves "Toca"? Yet its ran by Gelp each time, who has only "recently" been put as an event guy for UK AA.
@ Infern: For usha not getting 7 on a sat night? thats not exactly right. You have 27 pilots listed on CLP. I find it very hard to believe that you can not get 7. Even if you can't Guests are encouraged.
I did point out to sal hes rushing the start date slightly, and its most like going to be pushed back to a date not yet discussed.
Not much else to say. Just seems this year, since the loss of pilots. Theres 10xmore issues, i find it weird. Lots of problems with 2xsquad, and now problems with a comp thats run 8+ times without one hiccup, while ran by Sal. Whats changed? apart from the fact theres 3 community pages? and theres now people in power in each section instead of one.
UK AA SNL post had to be closed because Wizard and Nitro couldn't grasp SNL was ran by WS for years without a problem, same problem here. Only board with no issues so far is TAA.

This topic started out as an, apparently, well intentioned, well thought out and well organized proposal. I gather it is a popular annual event. I sincerely hope that subsequent posts have not seriously discouraged the proposers as it would be a shame if their good intentions were to be soured by a dispute over who should be hosting it.
It is difficult enough to find people who are prepared to volunteer their time for the good of the community and those who do so should not be discouraged. Any effort to make the game more interesting and exciting should be welcomed. Of course the efforts of the communities in hosting events are important but they need not be the sole organizing source.
I think it might be more constructive for the communities to offer their resources and assistance, if needed, rather than opposing and discouraging squad organized events. In this way the communities will be strengthened, not weakened by embracing individual innovation.
To conclude I would suggest that the three communities should give their wholehearted approval to this type of initiative and offer their resources to assist where necessary.

But i will put my two cents into this famous SNL of yours Mad Man. How much fun is it playing in a league with only 4 or 5 squads able to compete ? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz If i were you guys, i wouldnt be playing in a league sponsored by a known trouble maker on ego trip in the first place. LMAO !!!Thats why I never flown in a single SNL match since it started. I rather fly in league event being ran by a honest and clean pilot. It only takes couple of hours to change the time, and set up fixture so all the USA, UK, and German squads can join in the event. I am very surprise USHA and FD didnt set up a 2 squad event.
thanks,
Nitro

Nitro, since when did the UK AA change the time? I posted this on UK AA and my post was deleted, yet no one responded to my pm about it. Which was nice. UK 2xsquad always ran at 8:30, still is. Wheres the time change? on UK aa you said every us squad was competiting. If your posting for the sake of it, then thats sad. You obviously are posting to attack me, then rather actually posting about the SNL.
You think GE squads are not coming nitro? ... Rb are looking for more guests in YOUR forum and i assume, both will play like they did last time at the times posted this time.
@ Wiz. Keep you out? You were the one attacking me, i've only merely stated your past posts. If you wish not to be involved, maybe you should of thought of that before you posted what you did on UK site. As your posts were personal attacks also, rather then based on SNL.
If you want to argue with me, fine. Do it in a different post, maybe its too much to ask, we'll see =)

If I?m allowed to add my 2 pence:
I played a couple of SNL rounds during the past couple years. Maybe 5 or 6. It was always hosted by WS, apart from the last years competition, which was hosted by the USAAC. As a player, I?m not that interested in who is hosting what and how smooth it runs. I?m more interested in there is a competition at all.
For me as a european most matches will start around midnight and since I?m not a teenie anymore, who is looking for saturday-night fever and wants to dance his arse off in smoked discotheques, I?m sitting at home, watching TV, while I?m also busy in front of my pc, waiting for some action. Since I also don?t go to bed - and get up with the chickens, I?m glad there is a competition like the SNL. As said, at an unusual day/night-time but this is also fun for me. When the day (and also a week full of hard work) is over and I drank a few bottles of beer already, it is fun to meet all the players from all over the world, I know for years already and having fun together.
I really don?t mind who is hosting which event. I?m glad there are guys who are organising something for the community, regardless its nationality. I?d think it could be easier to organise something like this on a site, which already has everything in place, instead building and designing something from scratch. If I had the time to organise an event or even a league, I?d go through TAA-site because it would be the easiest way for me. But of course it isn?t my duty to do so, if I have different plans.
I understand Tbar?s post and concerns. After all events and leagues are bringing users to a site, which is the main-goal of all community-websites. If I would be Tbar, I?d advertise the SNL, hosted by the Warships and asking for permission to link to tables and fixtures and stuff. This could be also in the interest of the USAAC and the user can decide to which site he/she is browsing. Don?t quarrel about hosting an event or a league but share the work and get the users attention. Both.

We actually have 14 pilots that are active and about 4 or 5 of them are part time due to working on weekends.
USHA would have no problem being in the SNL no matter who hosts it.We took a poll and discussed it and the majority voted no for one reason or another. That's why USHA will not be included.
All USHA were told they can sub to another squad if they want to participate.
I think having 3 communities has nothing to do with any of this. The CLP is well ran by all 3 communities and all events and leagues are posted there for everyone to see on 1 page.
We all have our own sites to communicate and work out ideas and help everyone in the game.
We each have our own forums for that.
Where is the problem there?? I don't see it.
This thread was started as an invite for everyone to be in the SNL..We need to keep it on track and quit pointing fingers at each other.
I'm really tired of the same ole same ole pettiness that is going on.
So stay on track please and stop the personal attacks.
