Image Take it for what it's worth that follows;

First of all, I'm new to AA & this Community USAAC, and my rank is so low, that some may find my comments out of line., But, having said that, The higher eschlons ( did I spell that right?) will just have to bear with me on the record or off the record! And that is upon review and reading over all post commentary, I 'am in agreement with "Nitro"

Image Yes, I will agree and admit that a high percentage of AA users are "Computer Whiz Kids", My 10 year old grandaughter can out do me!, But, you have to keep in mind, Not everyone brings to this community "A race horse(Very expensive and fast pace computer), that they might have at their finger tips Mommie and Daddy bought for them!, and many are not computer savvy, for many participants on the AA are very young compared to some of us, and when we went to high school, the only computer we heard about, was the IBM the US Govt had during the cold war in the 50s, but I can honestly say that as kids growing up, we did not have time to play around on Sega, Sony, Xbox, didgital Pinball machines & etc., we had traditional family values: Called doing chores around the house and farm for our parents, not spend half our lives in front of a TV set & on a computer!

Finally; 😵 Even though there seemed to be ways to get around certain areas that help a user on here to get to the right spots, "it still is frustrating and something has to be implemented and corrected so evry user Advanced & Novice can easily find what they are browsing for!!!! Image I also am having problems with several issues on here., "Repeated LOG INs", "Error Messages" and last but not least, "Team Speak" I followed the procedure to exactly as specified! and yes I downloaded the right one, but keep getting a female operator's voice "error error error"., for all good and bad said, Team Speak at this point to me, only ued up more of my hard drive space and memory! And please do not tell me i need to set cookies to be accepted, they are, and I do not delete them ither, and yes I'm still running an obsolete win me on a dell optiplex Gx1, but I had it tuned up and modified for all you whiz kids that might say, that's your problem! Hi Tullamore,

You explained it so much better then I could ever do. But dont get your hopes up that anything will be done about it. I been complaining about that since day 1. That was about 8 months ago, to this very day, not a single thing has been done about it. I even went around talk to most of the USA Board members about those issues. All i got was, " I dont care", " I dont want to make waves" and " A new USA forum is in the works", and " These things take time". Blah, blah, blah and blah.

But anyway, i took a screen shot to show others more what i am talking about. If you click on the two things circle in RED in the screen shot. You will in up in the main Tides of War Forums, which is a big pain in the butt. I cant tell you how many times I done that. The ones in yellow I have circle are for USA Air Attack forums showing how many sub forums you have to to thru just to read the league reports, but if you end up back in Tides of Ware Forums, which happens a lot to me, then you have to add 2 more forums you must go through. :( And the second screen just a smart part of the Tides of War forums. No way I could fix all of it in one screen shot, but i am sure many of you already seen it. I was never a huge fan of having forums inside of forums, and then having more forums into of those forums. Just one big mess.

Hi Gun Slinger,

Always nice to see new a new face. Yep, the only way I was able to get round that Log in crap, was downloading Fire Fox explorer from what others told me to do in this post. Personily, I hate Fire Fox explorer, but so anytime I want to come to this USA Air Attack forum which is buried deep in Tides of War Forums, I have to switch over to Fire Fox Explorer. Its kind of sad, because I use Microsoft Internet Explorer, and for some reason this board dont work with it, from what others telling me to use Fire Fox Explorer instead. I visit many forums and this forum the only one that wont keep me log on using Microsoft Internet Explorer!! So why should I do this and that, just to be able to stay log on ? Why don't they fix the problem with the forum instead ? And the ones that are saying they have no problems on this board, are on the "Board of Directors" for this site.

And I been using this board for 8 months, since March 2007 that it was made. And I still have a hard time trying to find my away around this forum. So dont feel too bad. What confuse me and are big pain in butt, are forums inside of forums.

I did something a few months back just to prove a point how easy it was to make a simple forum, without having it inside other forums and able to stay log on using any explorers. Took me 15 minutes to make it, and i am moron when it comes to computers. I use a free forum hosting site to make it.. http://usairattack.s4.bizhat.com/index.php...rum=usairattack The one i made is very simple to move around, and you have the option to choice to another board style if you dont like that one, Just go to profiles and change the board style.

Oh, I notice there are advertisement banners on bottom of everysingle page here in this forum and thru out all of Tides of War forums. I notice German Forum, and UK forums dont have them. Also my free forum I made doesnt have them. How come we have them here?

thanks,

Nitro

There are advertisements because they have been put there using google adsense i think? correct me if im wrong..

I use IE 7 for this board and it works fine for me.. I never have to re-login to use it. I have been using the Tides of War forum aswell as the USAAC forum and never had any trouble with it. If you want a certain topic, you click on the forum (or sub-forum) that it's in and then go to the topic..

It is just arranged in an ordered way so that there aren't random topics everywhere.

It doesn't take long to find the topics you want.

Psy, just because you haven?t any problems it doesn?t mean others haven?t problems as well.

As has been mentioned above, not everyone is grown up with computers and game-consoles and not everyone is a ?tech savvy?. It might be laughable for you but some - especially older users - having troubles to find their way through the boards.

I wasn't saying that.. I was merely pointing out that it isn't the forum, it's the settings of the users having problems.

Was 6 different Board of Directors for USA Site that applied to this thread, but none seem to find any problems with the structure of the forum. What a big surprise. Image

Gentlemen;

First of all, Thank you "Nitro" for welcoming me aboard, and as to "Firefox" browser,

Yes i too am using it, after I read another user's commentary pointing that out!

Glad to see there are guys next to my age on here too and know what it was

like in the "Good old days", That being "Tullamore_dew." As to my derogatory

comment about Mommie & Daddy spending the money to help some users out, Well

that was uncalled for, and for that, I appologize, I tend to forget, 'Young people work

for a living too!

OK, even though a few will not admit that there is a problem with "Most" users wanting

to use this site, such as post and see what is up coming in events, but those users, tend to

no longer wanting to partake in this activity, probably due to the same frequent problems as

we have experienced on here!, And they too like Nitro avoided the frustration by not coming bk.

But Admin Staff, "like Tullamore and Nitro has expressively pointed out," Just cause some

users have no difficulty, does not mean every thing is fine! And as for "SETTINGS" &

"COOKIES" (Cookies definition from a retired buddy that wrote software for Microsoft: "Corrupted-

Organized-Object(sleeper cell)-kill-Internet-Explorer-Script!) And that's a fact Jack! I personally

do not run any antivirus protection, such as Norton, McAffee, AVG & etc.

And as for firewall protection, None! My security is set so low for this site and if it was

gasoline in my tank, I would be on empty! As for these chocolate chip cookies, I get from this site, well gentlemen, I hate to burst your bubble, but my "Superantispyware" has dtected and removed

many "Adware" & "Malware" called "tracking" why do you need to know where I've been and where I go? I accept the cookies only to my understanding, that they are used to help in operating the game

and use this site, So is this why your cookies R so important? To help or to nose?

I personally frown on persons who I allow into my home, and they start snooping in to my

drawers & cupboards! Now I'll jump the gun & guess that a few will comment and say, " You

probably got those tracking cookies from another site." Does not matter anyway, cause they are deleted automatically & permanently after each visit, cause I get them back once I come back on.

Also my browser is set to find new pages associated with AA, In plain layman's terms, It is

in "No Way" my Settings, Cookies or Browser, IE browser exactly the same as Firefox with exception

to login repeats! But, I still got "Error error error" with Team Speak!

In conclusion, I believe that this is a very trusted site and I do enjoy the game, and I have pass on to many of my friends about this game, So any comment about suspicious cookies, no hard

feelings intended towards any software program writer, and a donation is forth coming due to my enjoyment! By the way: I love "Temper's" logo picture, especially the insect running around and that

other user's cartoon charaters bashing Tbar! Laughed my ass off!!!!!! So that tells me, you guys have

a good game and site going, and you can work together, so get it together, and find a solution to these issues, Cause it just may be, any new comers (Newbies) like me, just might not be so patient and understanding as Tullamore & Nitro and others for example, and decide to go else where.

I'm opened for constructive critics only, Not high school grammar, writing & spelling teachers, I'm not entering an essay contest, so do even comprehend to think of going there with me on this issue now pending, I'm too old and late in my life to start talking out of my ass, I just keep shooting

straight from my mouth only what an average human being can understand, Not the King's English, just good old American simple talk, example, I say ain't ( I'm not) Pert neer (close to something) Can't ( not "Caunt") Alelin (poor health) Yonder(over there, beyond something) Crick( creek water way, small river) Fixin( getting ready to do something) & outhouse-(my bathroom facilities with all the trimins-corn cob & sears catelog) for example! take care now, you all heer (able to listen to sound) just a good old boy from the hills who served this fine country many years ago!
