Speaking of pausing the game....Has anyone else had this problem?

The only problem I have had with ERT is, after I pause the game for more than a minute or so, I lose voice control. Only way I can recover it, is to restart the game completely. Scratching my head over this one. Everything else works fine, and voice works great any other time.

Try pressing the "V" key before you pause, it toggles off the voice command. This prevents the voice command que getting backed up so far it never catches up.

It will avoid firing torpedoes and changes of course etc , whilst I am talking on telephone !

( Yes , I do keep playing it when I am talking ! LOL )

That is one of the great things about Enigma .

You'll need it , and using external view ( key F5 - but just saying ' Spectator' is a whole lot easier !

You need it specially with that mission 6 .

Waiting for the sub(s) to surface doesn't sound a good idea , the two DEs are on their way .

Yes , there was a posting about going far out if area , and provided the DEs are nowhere near , eventually the sub resurfacing , after some long while . but the DEs will pursue , not the way I recommend .

It's a tough mission , needs voice , external view , Pause helps , and lining up torpedoes - altho' the subs only pivot so not as hard in that respect to hit .

Just thought that if you , jimbolina 25 , went first to the tides of war site , and didn't see this forum at first . Maybe there are many others who missed it - so , maybe it needs some clearer signposting to direct players to this site .

Strange that, when ever I came to do that mission (I had the unpatched version at the time), I fired off my fish and, quite often, 1 or 2 would miss, because, believe it or not, the milchcows REVERSED to avoid the torpedo.

I tried that East, But still had to restart game completely. Don't know what it is.

hehehe just completed the rn (im british so it has to be rn) surface campaign... the mtb mission 2 was a it of a pain.. heres how to do it

attck and sink 3 of the subs.. using the external line up torps shot.. then after the 3 are sunk head south and keep on goin.. use the de to attack the submerged sub and the other mtb... then walk away for 10-20 mins... this does work.. trust me

p.s luv the hood. just dont turn to well..... im still waitin for a way to take a fleet of destroyers against her though lol

I put 48 torps in the Hood at close range, plus several 5" rounds, and still could not sink her. After a mission sometimes, I stay on, and sink my own ships, just to see what kind of damage they can take. Also I can practice my 1st person shooting. The ships always sink, but I could not sink the Hood. I gave up anyway, after 48 torps and about 30 5" shells. >:(

Yes, it is slow, but I LOVE the sound of those 15" guns going off. No other sound like it. It's almost as sweet to hear as a HEMI....almost...lol.

must say ive had that problem.. was in a ix u boat... emptied all my torps into both gc that appear on tacticle... was less that 1 mile away and still couldnt sink either.. although i did slow them down.....

There are no cruisers in E:RT yet, so it was either a BC or DD/DE
