I must agree with Achilles. Seems as if you don?t care ?bout your German customers. The game cost me 40 ?!!!! And I am waiting fpr this patch since many many month.

And one question: Yestersday I saw a Enigma in a store. New Package! New game too?? Did anyone buy the new version? Is it patched or still the original one?

I don?t want to BUY a new version.

That is a repackaged product, same as you currently own. There is a new GOLD version coming and we will be releleasing a comprehensive patch for existing customers (INCLUDING GERMAN LANGUAGE) once it hits the shelves.

I?m very disapointed about the patch problems with the german version.
I waited month for this patch to buy the game, but it?s only delayed once more. People who buy the game paying the people working at TAG, remind this.

I run a software store myself and after this long time of waiting i stopped selling enigma in my store a few weeks ago. In my opinion no one shut sale games which have such a "great" support, cause customers spend there hard worked money for it.

Just my 2 cent.

It's very disturbing to hear that you would stop selling Enigma because of the delay of a free patch. Even the original version is a good game, fun to play and still popular. I urge you to reconsider.

First, if the product is making you money (as a reseller) then it makes no sense to stop selling it.

Second, if you will point your customers to these forums and the www.subsim.com forums, they will receive more than ample assistance with their product.

Third, internally we have a policy that all requests for support are answered within 10 minutes of receipt. We do very well at this.

I?m very pleased that we now have such a great conversation about this topic.

I have one question: What means GOLD version from E:RT ??

What is in it ? Is my old version with the comming patch the same or not ?

Its the current + patches + voicepaks + new stuff + the full soundtrack.

I beleive your old with the new patches will be as good as the GOLD version. (cept for perhaps the voicepaks, which im not sure will be included in the pacthes, but TAG will likely put them out for download, (i dont know!)

Understandably there is some frustration with delay, yet, .. as was said , when multi player comes , we all will be starting equally , if that's any consolation.

The single player is a good game . That's what we all bought . The patches are produced gratis .

After one year , I only recently played with the patches myself .

There is very good support , but of course the specific delay with German patches , I understand causes annoyance .

Read the forum , and understand that the real problem was the dispute with GMX .

If it was possible , Tesseraction would have all done already , and will , as soon as possible .

Maybe someone can post something in German here , ( you don't want to read my German ! )

Remember Tessaraction is relatively new and has had a problem which was not its making . und ... That it has produced a great game .

Enigma: Rising Tide Patch f?r die deutsche Version (GMX und Pointsoft) im November.

Der langersehnte Patch f?r die deutsche Version von Enigma wird aller Voraussicht nach am 1. November 2004 zum Download zur Verf?gung stehen. Zeitgleich soll Enigma: Rising Tide GOLD in die L?den kommen. Die GOLD Version wird neben dem bereits gepatchten Spiel zus?tzliche Features sowie den kompletten Soundtrack enthalten.

Der Patch hat sich aus verschiedenen Gr?nden immer wieder verz?gert, vor allem wegen des Rechtsstreits mit dem fr?heren Publisher GMX und der ?bersetzung, die viel l?nger gedauert hat als geplant. Zudem enthielt das im Juni ver?ffentlichte Update schwerwiegende Bugs und wurde wieder zur?ckgezogen.

Nachdem Entwickler Tesseraction noch mehrere Mitarbeiter ersetzen musste und die Arbeit zeitweise ganz ruhte, hat sich die Fertigstellung des Patches weiter verz?gert. Mit dem f?r den 1. November geplanten Patch sollen neben der deutsche Version auch alle anderen lokalisierten Versionen auf den neuesten Stand gebracht werden.
