What happened to the battleships in this game? They were in almost every surface naval battle in both World Wars, and now they've dissapeared!
Well then the powers that be in E:RT must make shore that there are some large battleship ingagements as well as submarine actions and light vessle actions.

Since Enigma is based off the fact that the Germans won WWI, and the Naval Restriction Treaty never came to pass, could we perhaps see the Lexington Class BC/BB for the Americans?  Some of you might know this ship since it was converted into a carrier, the Lexington and the Saratoga.  I prefer it however as it's original intention, as a BC/BB, that was scrapped due to the Naval Limitations Treaty.
Anyhow, just thought I'd throw it up for discussion, at least.  Add a few more ships that don't look like the Hood to the mix.  ;)
The USS Saratogaand the USS Lexington have already been converted into aircraft carriers, ya shmuck. Didn't you read the newspapers?

Everyone would like to command a BIG ship but I wonder...

..are we sure that Carriers/BBs are really playable in the MP? My guess is that, after some trials, Destroyers will turn out as the biggest fun-giving ships to participate in multiplayer.

Big vessels are.. just that - big. Slow, and extremely powerful.

With DEs you can run, chase, turn... it's almost Quake at sea :).

Anyway.. time will tell.

DD's dont stand a chance against a battle ship. They can run, but if there are BB's escorthing a convoy that a destroyer is attacking, it is going to die quickly.

Current figures I believe, don't quote me on it, are around 60% peeps playing USA and the other 40% split evenly between Germans and British. TAG still have to try and balance the game and with so many people wanting to play Yankee the Europeans/Asians need a little extra fire power. It might not be realastic, it might not give the Americans what they always want( bigger stuff) but it's fair.

How about some french designed battleships? Like the Richelieu, quite interesting boat since her main guns where at the front only, I think its around 8 guns 15inchs at the front and 9 guns 6inchs at the rear. Could be interresting tacticaly speaking in a major fight between big ships.

Well, it would be more easily to fight them if you could see them at longer ranges and then fire torpedos at them. ;)

Anyone know if an increase in visible distance is planned?

BB gun ranges are greater than that of torpedoes's. And they MUST increase visible distance, this is the ocean after all.
